A Yankee Shop/Friends Models 1" scale 4-4-2 Atlantic, as recently seen on "eBay" (photo used with permission). It is a model of Southern Pacific's #3000.
1" scale, 4-3/4" gauge Atlantic (4-4-2)
In the 1950s, Lester Friend added a 1" scale Atlantic (and Pacific) to the product line.
The Friends Models 1" scale Atlantic uses slide valves with "dummy" piston valves; it has Baker Valve Gear and a "Delta" trailing truck. It is a powerful locomotive, very good looking, FAST, and quite robust. It is modeled after the "Southern Pacific" style of locomotive, #3000 class; but it has a style all its own and as such, it looks VERY MUCH like S.P. #3000, but does not too-closely resemble the 1" scale Atlantics of other suppliers.

Thanks for looking.

1" scale, 4-3/4" gauge Pacific (4-6-2)
The 1" scale, 4-3/4" gauge Friends Models 4-6-2 "Pacific". Note the tender, under the locomotive. Photo used with permission.
Like the Atlantic, the Friends Models 1" scale Pacific use slide valves with "dummy" piston valves; its has Baker Valve Gear and a Commonwealth trailing truck. Its power & speed will appeal to you; its beauty will impress you. It is loosely modeled after the "Southern Pacific" style of locomotive; nevertheless it has a style all its own and as such, does not too-closely resemble the 1" scale Pacifics of other suppliers.
I invite you to view two YouTube videos of the Friends Models 1" scale Pacific. The model was built by Joe Ng of the Waushakum Live Steamers in Holliston, Massachusetts in the mid-1980s. One video may be seen HERE, and the other HERE.
The running gear and boiler are strictly built to the Friends design, but the domes, boiler jacketing, power reverse, tender trucks, and other functional and cosmetic details were custom-built so as to be able to model a Southern Railway (USA) prototype. But, everything "from the boiler down" is built to the Friends design. These videos will give you an excellent idea of the engine's appearance and capabilities.
Enjoy. And, if you're interested in this design's re-release, please make your desires known to me.
