Classic Live Steam of Yesteryear

H.J. Coventry's "Swan Song"

In the early 1980s, while in his mid-90s and living in McAlester Oklahoma (and just a couple years before his 1987 death at age 100), Mr. Coventry designed what I believe to be his final locomotive.....a one-inch scale, 4-3/4" gauge D-30 class USRA 0-6-0. It is similar to the 3/4" version that is currently available elsewhere on this website.

Are you interested in a USRA 0-6-0 Switcher, coal fired, in 1" to the foot scale (4-3/4" gauge)?

It will be an honor, and a priviliege, to bring Mr. Coventry's FINAL DESIGN to market for him, and for you. Please email me, if interested.

Swan Song:
final accomplishment.

From Merriam-Webster Dictionary:
a farewell appearance or final act or pronouncement
